LUMEN

100% Montepucliano, two years of barrique. Some spicy and petrolly notes on the very dense nose. Sweet fruit on the palate, especially on attack, then becomes a bit lean and again slightly watery. Long, has some definition and good concentration while remaining on the soft, you-can-drink-me-now-if-you-want side, with the acidity rather low. Very good, though not an epiphany.

The grapes for the Lumen, after a careful and scrupulous selection, are between the last ones to being to pick (beginning October for cabernet-sauvignon and 8-12 October for the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo). The grapes come diraspate and to press in soft way and vinificate separately in vinificatori of stainless steel and ferment to one temperature of 28-30°C, for a period of 15 days approximately.

Finished the malolactic fermentation, the obtained wines come re-united and to decant in barriques from 225 liters of various varieties of rovere where they remain approximately 18 months, to the term of which bottling is proceeded. Subsequently the wine endures a sharpening in bottle of 12-14 months in our coves before being put in on the market.
