BORGO DEL TIGLIO

The firm is born in 1981 for the operation of the very owner, Nicola Manferrari. He produces wine from three firm plots all located in hills in the DOC Collio area. The denomination, amongst the most credited of Italian white whine, is a small chain in the hills located in the most oriental edge of Italy. The closeness of the Adriatic sea and the mountains, result in big differences in climate, a function of exposion. The cellar is dedicated to studying these differences to let emerge the “terroir” of the wines.

The objective is to specialize in the three plots of Brazzano, Ruttars and Ca’ of the Vallade, to the cultivation of the grapes most suitable for the site. The pruduction of wine is thought of as leaping over the character of the terroir, the fineness, the complexity and the balance of the wines. In the end, the majority of the production is sharpened in small casks of oak.
