IL FILO' DELLE VIGNE

Filo' delle Vigne s.s. to Baone (PD) insists on one property of beyond 55 hectares. The first systems go back to 1948 and 1975 for the Cabernet Souvignon and Cabernet Franc. The vineyards are placed in lands of large pregio in the sunny southern part of the Euganei Necks, enjoy a particular Mediterranean microclimate. The production of approximately 20 hectares vitati, is arranging on the 50,000 annual bottles, with yields under the 30 Hl/Ha. All the investments in course have the firm will to head to catch up an always greater quality of the products, in the respect of the nature and of what it offers.

The land where the vines are cultivated, mostly terraced on the hillside, and the wine vault where the wine remains in stainless-steel containers, in Allier oak barriques and tonneaux, before being bottled and sent on its way to various destinations (wine shops, restaurants, specialised shops, friends), are located in the Municipality of Baona, southeast of Monte Cecilia. This area falls under the protection of the Conzorzio Vini Doc, of which the firm is a member, and is protected by the Natural Park of the Euganean Hills. The vineyards of FILO’ could simply not have been planted in a more per-fectlocation (the first plantation took place in 1948), for growing and fructifying, given the altitude (50 to 200 m above sea level), the volcanic soil rich in nodular limestone, the loam rock, the trachytic breccia, the solarisation, the thermal range from night to day and a warmer climate as com-pared to other slopes of the hills, a strip of land acting as a transition for the Mediterranean climate and subMediterranean climate with a very special microclimate.
